Making Sense of the Holographic Universe

Self-Realization, Making Sense of the Holographic Universe - Surrendering to Radical Truth

With the radical Holographic Universe model of reality being presented to us at this time in humanity’s intellectual and spiritual evolution it is important to find guidance in understanding the vast implications. Just like accepting the world is round, it took humanity a while to adjust to just how life changing such a realization really is. New possibilities and explorative thinking arose that otherwise wasn’t available or even plausible to ponder or consider. Suddenly it was as if humanity literally lived on a different planet, which in most ways it did. And this is to be expected because our beliefs and paradigms for …

If I Erase the Ego, what’s left? Apathy and Suicide? Is there Something Greater than this Life?

The evolution of consciousness and perception - exploring the potential of limitations

Reflection from Insight from Revolver Q: 1. If I erase the ego, what’s left? Apathy and suicide? I thought the ego was responsible for the will to get a better life. The force that keeps you going. Like Revolver says, “It’s the only reason you get up in the morning”. 2a. Is the point being made that there is something greater than this life? Like the continuation of the spirit and perhaps reincarnation? 2b. Or is the point that I should be aware of the ego while keeping it, therefore controlling it instead of letting it control me? A: Answer to question 1: …

The Mountain of Enlightenment – Transcending Duality and the Ego Self (Part 1/3)

Liberation from maya's illusions of duality, Self-Realization

Waking Up Within the radical realization of ‘enlightenment’ the gift of consciousness is realized to be a part of an indescribable nonduality of Divinity that is truly ineffable and indescribable. Its stunning obviousness yet utter profound nature is all encompassing of one’s sense of reality and therefore the entire perspective and context of existence is forever changed. The realization of the true Self is infinitely formless and eternal as that which is all-present, all-knowing, all-powerful and the Creator and Source of All That Is (All that is Conscious). This Creator we are not separate from, hence the Father and I …

Transcending the Themes of Consciousness: The Mind and ‘Co-Creation’ (Part 3/3)

Letting go Transcending the mind, ego, and the attachment to control

The following are excerpts taken from The Liberated Lotus: Awakening Eternal Happiness regarding the nature of the mind, transcending the sophisticated intellectual and spiritual ego, and letting go of attachment to ‘co-creation’. How are we to comprehend this idea that the mind is impersonal and not an independent identity reflecting true reality? By realizing that all of the mind’s projections, editorializing, judgments, and sense of being ‘real’ as an independent existing entity are the illusion. Absolutely everything the mind ‘thinks’ is not coming from any personal-self identity but rather from a limited perspective and degree of awareness and is impersonal. …

Transcending the Themes of Consciousness: The Mind (Part 2/3)

Going Beyond the Mind - Self-Realization - transcending the mind's illusions

Transcending the Mind Seeking enlightenment through the pathway of the mind is extremely challenging due to the mind tending to be incredibly difficult to tame and required absolute concentration and focus above all else. During this time there were months spent in which every day was devoted to pure concentration and observing the mind and its incessant thinking. This was mainly accomplished through persistent meditative contemplation. Contemplation is simply the constant exercising of the spiritual will as the sense of concentrated focus throughout all daily activities. As one focuses completely upon a spiritual truth all learned opposition to it within …

Transcending the Themes of Consciousness: The Mind (Part 1/3)

Self-Realization - Transcending the Mind's prison

Transcending the Mind Although seeking liberation through the mind or transcendence through the heart/devotion lead to the same Truth, the path of the mind seems to be intellectually arduous and requires deep self-inquiry and constant observation of the mind’s misleading traps. The main obstacle that arises with embarking on the quest of enlightenment through mastery of the mind is the development and investment into the intellect as being valuable and reliable. As the intellect becomes strengthened, logic and reason dominate all aspects of life and the mind and its abilities seem to be the source of all power. However, quite …

Transcending the Themes of Consciousness: Awakening to the Salvation of Unconditional Love (Part 2/3)

What is unconditional love, awakening inner peace

The Mind The path of the mind (Advaita) can be sophisticated and cunning and requires constant psychological analysis and inner work regarding the nature of the ego and radical self-inquiry. The ego mind is the most cunning of all con artists and is in fact the greatest con there ever was. Simply put, the mind wants us to think that it is who we really are. It wants us to think that its thoughts are ‘our’ thoughts and that we in fact a dualistic ego. In Reality this is simply not true. The mind is a tool just like the …

Understanding Projection – Others’ Opinions Are Not Personal

Reality is not objective - understanding projection

In light of the recent discussions regarding the themes of awareness and the ego and its attachments, let us further discuss the concept of projection. Once the ego has formulated its belief systems and established its sense of identification within its energetic theme of consciousness it then perceives all of life with such accepted intentions. This then becomes the source of all opinions, perceptions, values, interests, and ultimate subjective experience of life. However, all of which are relative and only true within the field of awareness from which they are arising in. Meaning, to one theme there are certain values …

Releasing Judgment, Understanding Consequence

Letting go of judgment completely

In conjunction with the post, God and the illusion of Judgment, I’d like to further elaborate on this misunderstanding given its profound importance in seeking true growth. Furthermore, this concept and notion of judgment is so limiting it is absolutely heartbreaking what it is capable of and it is vital to understand in order to be protected from its negative nature. In my own journey judgment caused endless struggle and suffering and to escape its arrogance/ignorance brought infinite peace and serenity. Because of this freedom it is my pleasure to assist others in enjoying the same …

Our Spiritual Evolution

The Evolution of Consciousness - The evolution of life, God embodied, reflected, and projected

Our Spiritual Evolution     Ever wonder why recurrent types of situations or issues keep arising in our lives no matter how many external things change it seems that there are similar issues that just keep coming back in differing forms? Well, throughout our spiritual evolution we will notice that there are distinct themes that are prevalent and serve as reflections of what our soul, or consciousness, is currently working to transcend and heal through acceptance and forgiveness. By accepting our current inner resistance and forgiving what they represent for us we can move into an expanded awareness of love. …

Identifying and Understanding Ego Attachments

Identifying and understanding attachments and limiting beliefs

In light of the recent redefining of the ego, let us discuss the ego’s proclivities and methods of attachment that are the root of all human suffering. As a reminder, the use of the term ego is referring to our sense of identity that was formed through our identification with beliefs, opinions, thought patterns, context for who and what we think we are, and our overall attachments to ‘me’. All Truth is Relative For starters we must clarify that all truth is relative to the the level of understanding from which it is arising and therefore applicable to. For example, to …

Insight from The Fountain

Insight from the Fountain

Another favorite film full of profound insight on the ego and enlightenment is The Fountain, written and directed by Darren Aronofsky, starring Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz. This movie is absolutely visually stunning and Clint Mansell’s musical score created for it is concomitantly inspiring and beautiful. The Fountain depicts three separate stories that are nevertheless all intertwined through the storyline provided by Rachel Weisz’s character Izzy. Izzy is diagnosed with terminal cancer unless a cure can be found and her husband, Tommy (Jackman), happens to be a neurosurgeon who is trying to research a way to save her. As she prepares for …

The Many Faces of the Ego

The Faces of the Ego - The many masks of limiting beliefs and identities

With the return to writing the first thing that I’d like to revisit is the concept of the ego in hopes of solidifying a clear, working definition in order to facilitate the greatest comprehension. For starters, this is not the ‘ego’ as outlined in psychoanalysis by Freud and Jung but rather is a more spiritual perspective that is referring to a self-identity, ‘character script’ with its likes, dislikes, attractions and aversions, and attachments all of which we believe is who we are, the ‘me’ and ‘I’. This ego identity is formed within our consciousness and to best understand the ego we must …

Insight from Fight Club

Insight from Fight Club - transcending the shadow ego

In light of the review of Revolver I’ve decided to review one of my other favorite psychological movies/books that has always intrigued me and that is Fight Club. Fight Club taught me to think for myself and challenge social norms that might not be in our best interest and to therefore transcend ego limitations.  (This review will be based off the film since I don’t have the book with me at this time)    The movie is focused around Robert Norton’s character ‘the narrator’ or ‘Jack’ going through continual life crisis situations to be liberated of all ego …

Insight from Revolver: The Formula to Enlightenment

Insight from Revolver - going beyond the ego and all limitations

One of my absolute favorite psychology movies showing the relationship of the ego to the Self is in Guy Ritchie’s, Revolver. While the movie is violent and vulgar at times and is based on a classic Guy Ritchie plot of gangsters and con men, the deeper message of enlightenment is astounding and spot on. The movie gives a perfect example of the ego’s interaction in our mind and throughout the film we get to watch the main character, Jake Green (Jason Statham), battle and transcend his ego with the help of his liberators, Avi (Andre Benjamin) and Zack (Vincet Pastore). …
